Internal Process Management Competencies in Boost Juice Bars
Question: which details how one of the Internal Process Management Competencies (Working and Managing across Functions) has been experienced in the workplace? Answer: I knew that I have to learn about the adult world and the nature of the workforce, but I was prepared to work hard to earn my place. In the beginning it was slightly overwhelming but now I have completed one month. Now, I find myself working confidently through the fundamental aspects of daily life in the boost juice bar. The company started its operation in the year 2000 and it had developed throughout the years. I have observed that the company is focusing in the internal management issues to continue its growth (Boostjuice.com.au 2016). The management of the company concentrates on the monitoring and controlling aspects. Controlling is a key management function and there are five competencies that develop it. The competencies are planning and coordination of projects, organizing the proper flow of information, encouraging compliance, working and managing the functions and measuring performance and the quality of work (Robbins et al. 2013) The management of the company wants to coordinate the information among the employees of different department. I have observed that they are focusing on the working and managing across factions. Sometimes the work load increased to a great extent when the supply of food should match the customer needs. The management works very efficiently to make up the customer needs. A situation came when there was a big order which should be completed and delivered within a particular time. At first the work seemed to be very complicated and difficult. A proper plan was made by the management to deliver the orders according to the requirement. All the employees started working to complete the project according to the works that is assigned to them. The roles of the employees were made clear by the managers and each department was given a particular task. Each teams focused on their job and the total work was distributed. The management efficiently managed the whole situation and the huge amount o f work gets completed within the stipulated time. It was an informal work design but it was the perfect decision to overcome the situation. Important issues for a team is decision making, responsibility, authority and cross training. Here the course of work is carried out after the planning is made (Wseke 2012). The staffs might be temporarily assigned with some other department to do a particular work with the staffs of other department. It might be an informal way to carry out an operation but the project can be completed within the time frame. The managers are not only satisfied with the outcomes of the project but are also satisfied with the engagement of efficient employees to a particular job. The resources of an organization can be used efficiently with this management process (Ageron, Gunasekaran and Spalanzani 2012). The organizational structure did not face much problem due to the informal work design. The information within the organization gets transferred without facing much difficulty. The departments which form the organization are accounts, human resource, marketing and manufacturing. To overcome some tough situation the workflow, tasks, reporting and communication system is developed to link the work of different groups. There are some principal which should be followed to make the process simple. Each employee should receive a task from only one person and the communication process from the top management to the bottom level employees should be very clear. The traditional structure in the organization was functional structure, divisional structure and matrix structure which was a combination of functional and divisional structure (Subramanian and Ramanathan 2012).The members from different functional departments can organize a task to overcome a situation. Sometimes the total work gets allocated according to the project. To perform a particular project employees from different departments are allocated and after the completion of the project the employees go to the respective departments. There may be certain situation when the employees may resist to follow the instructions and decisions made by the management. The detailed attention to a particular work may disturb bigger goals and new initiatives. The complexity within departments increases with people from different knowledge groups. The availability of the right and efficient person is very less who can manage the total situation (Smith, Thorpe and Jackson 2012). To conclude the matter, the management makes decisions that suit the business. Sometimes the decisions may be informal but it may be beneficial for the organization. The managers are concerned about the goals of the company, accountability, transforming information to the employees, etc. The company can experience a steady growth with good leadership, encouraged people and good team bonding. Study notes on Cavalier Poetry and Cavalier Poets Essay Example For Students
Study notes on Cavalier Poetry and Cavalier Poets Essay The common factors that bind the cavaliers and the metaphysical poets are the following: Their use of colloquial, conversational style, Cavaliers sometimes strives to imitate highly intellectual metaphysical conceits, Departure from Patriarchate influence: the lady is no longer an object of desire to be admired from a far, but an actual collector, to whom the poem is addressed as an argument usually trying to induce them to exercise their sexuality (Had we but world enough, and time, this coyness, lady, were no crime, see Andrew Marvel, To His Coy Mistress; Although their poetry was not that innovative and original, the cavaliers made one great contribution to the English poetry: they introduced the possibility of writing memos about the minor pleasures and troubles of life. They treated the subject in such a way as to impress us with a sense of ordinary day-to-day living. We will write a custom essay on Study notes on Cavalier Poetry and Cavalier Poets specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now Cavalier poetry gives off their enjoyment of the casual; their poems seem to be written by the way. They generally avoided the grave subjects of religion. They never dabbled in explorations of the depths and intricacies the human soul. For them life was far too enjoyable to be spending it in a study. The poem writing was no grueling task but a part of everyday living. They were cavaliers not only because they were Royalists, but also because they ere typical gentlemen of the court: gallant lovers, soldiers with a great sense of duty (l could not love thee (dear) so much loved I no honor more, see Richard Lovelace, To Lucas, Going to the Wars), casual philosophers, artists, musicians, and poets. Robert Herein (1591-1674) Although Herring, a clergyman, was detached from the court, his short, fluent, graceful lyrics, and his carper diem themes are typical of the cavalier style. He wrote a lot about the country, combining classical paganism and English folk themes. Hayricks character was indeed an unusual blend. He was a hedonist, a country arson, and a great lover of the ancient pagan customs, which enabled him to produce his own synthesis of classical, Christian, and English traditions which is unique in the 17th century English literature. He also wrote numerous poems, with a degree of metaphysical style, about a mistress called Julia (or some other classical name) in which he expressed his delight in love. See Cherry Ripe, and Gather Ye Rose Buds) In dealing with country themes such as flowers, Herring uses conceits which are neither Patriarchate nor metaphysical. He often associates the short-lived flowers with the transitiveness of human life. Thomas care (1594/5-1640) Ca res work is influenced by both Johnson and Done. His poems were occasional amatory lyrics, which were addressed to and circled among the members of the court. In combining the classical influence of Johnson and his carefully controlled style, with the metaphysical influence of Done and his introspective psychological curiosity, Care created a mixture that is representative of Cavalier poetry: polished, Joyous, witty, notable for its ease of language. His love poems have all of the Cavalier gallantry, yet they reveal a deep cynicism at their core. Richard Lovelace (1618-58) Lovelace is the truest Cavalier. His work is gallant, courteous and chivalrous. He wrote about love, honor and war and sometimes combined the three, producing what I deem to be the best example of Cavalier poetry: To Lucas, Going to the Wars Tell me not (Sweet) I am unkind, That from the nunnery Of thy chaste breast and quiet mind To war and arms I fly. True, a new mistress now I chase, The first foe in the field; And with a stronger faith embrace A sword, a horse, a shield. Yet this inconstancy is such As you too shall adore; I could not love thee (Dear) so much, Loved I not Honor more.
